Exchanging embodied practices
Exchanging embodied practices

During my residency at Yellow Brick, Athens, I engaged in exchanges centred around embodied practices, with theatre artist Kestrel Farin Leah and with Mouries Collective.

Leah and I explored intersections in our performance and teaching practices. This research led us to co-devise a workshop which allowed participants to experiment with ways of connecting with their vocal body sources and with expanded awareness of tactile space and sound through the Alexander Technique.

The participants worked towards an experimental score: 26, a moving synchronous vocalisation of every letter of the alphabet.

This research was supported by a-n and a University of the Arts London Research Award.
